BF Cafe began as a passion project as a means to learn and experiment with new Internet tools and social media.
Very quickly, BF Cafe grew into a web-zine utilizing a blog and new media to advocate Latino creativity and original content.
At its peak, the blog featured Latino artists, filmmakers and performers. It was picked up by a television show runner and pitched to networks for its potential show tie-ins.
Branding BF Cafe became an important element, to demonstrate its focus on Latino culture across Internet, print, television and social media messaging.
The web site format evolved along with technology. BF Cafe was first built as an HTML web site with CSS then converted to a Wordpress site. In its current form, it resides in a Content Management System.
Today, BF Cafe is solely developed and maintained by Pablo Papas to showcase his interest in cultural art, video and animation.
